I see so many things.. I think I see a Kelpie… and when I tilt my head a bit the other way I see one of the monsters from “Where the Wild Things Are” or whatever that book is called..
And when I look at a different angle, I see the skull from a …. something creepy
But do you think.. perhaps this Kelpie got caught far away from the sea and rather than be trapped she grew into a tree? Or maybe that’s what old Kelpies do.. they come on shore, dig holes and grow into trees….
I’m terribly sorry, but I dont see the kelpie… :< I think I see it for a moment, but I'm not so sure… Are you talking about the horse form? Or human? I really wish I could see it… D:
..its obviously a kelpie..stay away..it might trys to pull you under the water…

I know, right? I came around the corner while hiking and literally gasped out loud when I saw it.

Okay, Annie, that is a great story idea! You should write that. Or if you don’t, I might steal it and write it! 🙂

Definitely a kelpie.
Perhaps this, then, is a trapped naiad? Undine? Banshee? http://tywkiwdbi.blogspot.com/2009/09/weeping-glacier.html
(Amy, from PDX Attic class. I’ve been vicariously experiencing Scotland; so sorry I couldn’t get over to take a walk with you.)

Hi, hi, hi Amy!
Where you been? Sooo good to see you here! It’s okay, I’m coming back next year, you can come and walk with me then (no Lyme’s next year, damn it!)
And how cool is that glacier?! Wow.
